At last! a decent pic of the original pencil drawing used to make the Piece of Liquid cover..

inspiration is one of Joe Satrianis songs (piece of liquid) and it was the first stage of the final piece for a college project.

Edit - a friend off the joe satriani message boards (Jim - aka audiojimbo) was incredibly kind and gave up his autograph right in order to have my drawing signed by Joe Satriani himself and post it to me! - 'Look!! Its raining Joe! - Joe Satriani'. so i updated to include the signature so others can possibly share some of my excitment and gratitude towards Jim. Thanks so much Jim!

thanks for that link, impressive piece. what would u recommend for the glasses? there wasnt a whole lot on them apart from a bit of reflection of the background, which i didnt want in them.. it had crossed my mind that they could prolly be better, but.. an im curious an hope ull give a truthful answer... the development from this has been up for ages, but hasnt had any comments at all.. is it that bad? i could use feedback, especially if it really is that bad =p

think they just need sharper edges and a bit more contrast. Maybe some shadow on the bridge of the nose. Im guessing the light is coming from the top left onto his forehead...
